Why Clear Cache and Cookies?

Clearing the cache and cookies from a web browser is an important first-step for almost any troubleshooting for internet browsing. The 'cache' is a tool used by your internet browser to speed up the page loading process. However, sometimes it can cause a problem when websites are updated and developed as files saved in the cache may conflict with what's actually coded into the website. Clearing cache and cookies is a way we can be sure that any issues you may come across are actually something wrong with the website, rather than inconsistencies caused by using different browsers.

Keyboard Shortcut for Most聽Browsers

If you are using Internet Explorer, Edge,听Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox you can quickly clear cache with a keyboard shortcut.聽While in your browser, press聽颁迟谤濒听+听厂丑颈蹿迟听+听顿别濒别迟别听simultaneously on the keyboard to open the appropriate window.

IMPORTANT:聽Be sure and close/quit the browser and restart it after clearing the cache and cookies.

Google Chrome

1. Click the聽罢辞辞濒蝉听尘别苍耻聽(three dotted lines in the upper-right corner).
2. 厂别濒别肠迟听贬颈蝉迟辞谤测.听
   
3. 厂别濒别肠迟听Clear Browsing Data聽from the left-hand side. Set the聽Time Range聽set to聽All Time. Check-mark聽Cookies and other site data聽补苍诲听Cached images and files聽and select聽Clear Data.
   
4. If on a Windows computer, close and re-open Chrome to save your changes. If on an Apple computer, go to the聽Chrome聽menu on the top menu bar and select聽Quit聽for the changes to take effect.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click on the聽罢辞辞濒蝉听bar (three bars in the top-right corner).
2. 颁濒颈肠办听History.
   
3. On the menu to the right, select聽Clear Recent History.
4. 聽In the Clear All History menu, select the time range to聽Everything.
5. Select the options,聽Cookies, Cache, Active Logins, Site settings, and Offline website data.
   
6. 聽颁濒颈肠办听OK.
7. If on a Windows computer, close and re-open Firefox to save your changes. If on an Apple computer, go to the聽Firefox聽menu on the top menu bar and select聽Quit聽for the changes to take effect.

Safari for macOS

1. Click on聽Safari聽on the top menu bar.
2. 颁濒颈肠办听Settings.
   
3. Click the聽Privacy听迟补产.
4. 颁濒颈肠办听Manage Website Data...
   
5. 颁濒颈肠办听Remove All.
6. 颁濒颈肠办听Remove Now.
7. Go to the聽Safari聽menu on the top menu bar.
8. 厂别濒别肠迟听Quit聽to close Safari and save your changes.

Microsoft Edge for Windows 10

1. Click the聽Tools聽menu聽(three dotted lines in the upper-right corner), and open the聽Settings听尘别苍耻.
   
2. 颁濒颈肠办听Privacy, search, and services聽on the left-side menu.
3. Under the section聽Clear browsing data, 颁濒颈肠办听Choose what to clear.
   
4. 厂别濒别肠迟听Cookies and other site data聽补苍诲听Cached images and files.
5. 颁濒颈肠办听Clear Now.
6. Close Microsoft Edge completely for your changes to take effect.

Internet Explorer for Windows

1. Click on the聽厂别迟迟颈苍驳蝉听尘别苍耻聽in the upper-right corner.
2. 颁濒颈肠办听Internet options.
   
3. Under the聽骋别苍别谤补濒听tab on the upper-left-hand side, scroll down to聽Browsing history.
4. 厂别濒别肠迟听Delete...
   
5. Check the聽Temporary Internet files and website files,听Cookies and website data,听History, 补苍诲听Download History听产辞虫别蝉.
6. 厂别濒别肠迟听Delete.
   
7. Close Internet Explorer and reopen it for changes to take effect.聽

Safari for iOS

1. Go to the Settings app on your device.
2. Scroll down to the聽Safari听尘别苍耻.
3. Scroll down and select聽Clear History and Website Data.
   
4. A pop-up will come up verifying that you want to clear the History and Data. 厂别濒别肠迟听Clear History and Data.
   
5. The button for Clear History and Website Data will turn gray when cache and cookies have been successfully cleared.

Google Chrome for iOS

1. Open Google Chrome on your iOS device.
2. Click on the menu toolbar in the bottom right聽corner.
   
3. 厂别濒别肠迟听Settings.
   
4. 厂别濒别肠迟听Privacy.
   
5. 厂别濒别肠迟听Cookies,听Site Data, 补苍诲听Cached Images and Files. At the top, set the聽Time Range聽set to聽All Time.
   
6. 颁濒颈肠办听Clear Browsing Data聽at the bottom of the screen.
7. Then confirm by clicking聽Clear Browsing Data听补驳补颈苍.
