Office 365 Updates - 5/17/16

Microsoft has made some recent changes to ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´â€™s Office 365 environment, specifically to email functionality through the Outlook Web App (OWA), accessible at .

  • All outgoing emails now have 'Send' and 'Discard' options located at the bottom of the compose window.
  • The Settings option has changed from a drop-down list to a sidebar format.
  • The default option to reply to an email has been changed to Reply All. This option can be changed back to Reply.

ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ App Access Issues - Resolved

Update: As of 2pm on 5/11/16 all issues have been resolved. Pilot is now accessible through the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ App.

Currently, the 'Pilot' link through the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ app is unavailable. If you are trying to access Pilot through the app, you will see the screen below:

CaTS and the CTL are aware of the issue are working with the vendor on a resolution.ÌýIf you want to access Pilot on your mobile device, open a web browser and visit Pilot directly at pilot.wright.edu.

CaTS will update the university when this issue has been resolved.

Storage Systems Upgrade - 5/7/16

On Saturday May 7, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., there will be aÌýsystems upgrade to provide an updated version of the storage functionsÌýon workstation computers throughout campus during which the ‘Home’ driveÌýwill be unavailable. This can include Macs, Windows, and others that areÌýnot on the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ domain.

If you are on the domain, you will notÌýbe affected by this update; however all users will be affected during the maintenance window. For instructions on how to check if yourÌýworkstation is connected to the domain, visitÌý/information-technology/blog/article/verifying-you....


Currently, the ‘Home’ drive can be accessed through bothÌýhome.wright.edu, which shows only ‘Home’, and shared.wright.edu, whichÌýshows the ‘Home’, ‘Shared’, and ‘Restricted’ drives when using the 'Run' command on your computer. After this upgrade,Ìýthe ‘Home’ drive will be accessible only through shared.wright.edu.

Wright1 Card Outage for 5/1

The Wright1 Card system will be unavailable during the following timesÌýdue to system maintenance:

  • Sunday, May 1, 2:00 p.m. through Monday, May 2, 4:00 p.m.

During this time, access to the following Wright1 Card services will beÌýunavailable:

  • Online deposits and account statements
  • Sales at off-campus and on-campus merchants (Union Market will be openÌý& accepting cash/credit card)
  • Wright1 and credit card swipes at campus vending machines
  • All pay-for-print card swipes at printing stations, copiers, andÌýlaundry (does not include Xerox printer card swipes)

During this time, the Wright1 Card office in 055 Student Union will alsoÌýbe closed.
